Viewing and Funeral arrangements for Brother Stedmund Dawson have been announced by TWU Local 100. Brother Dawson, 58, passed away while operating on his D train out of 205th Street at 9:30 on the morning of Monday, March 24th. The train had arrived at the second stop on the line, Kingsbridge Road, but he did not close the doors. The Train Operator investigated and found Brother Dawson unconscious in his cab. A police officer and bystander initiated CPR, but Brother Dawson was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital after being transported by EMS. His is the second line of duty death this year for a TWU Local 100 transit worker. Family and friends will gather to remember him at St. Luke's Episcopal Church at 777 East 222nd Street in the Bronx on April 8, 2014. There will be a viewing from 4 to 7 pm, with tributes from 6 to 7 pm, and a funeral service from 7 to 8 pm.
