LaGuardia Bus Operator Michael Chambers is Mourned

Local 100 members and officers at the LaGuardia Bus Depot in Queens are in mourning today over the passing of veteran Bus Operator Michael Chambers, who died on March 18, 2021 of the coronavirus. He was 61 and had been on the job since 2012.
 
 
LaGuardia’s officers, including Chair Thomas Jordan, Vice Chair Frank Spinnelli and Recording Secretary Mike Culver, all report that Brother Chambers “was well respected by all, and a pleasure to be around, and always there to help others.” “He was loved by all his co-workers, and will be truly missed,” they said.
 
MTA Bus Division Vice Chair Mike Capocci remembers a “smiling, friendly guy, who loved to joke around.  I’m going to miss him.” Brother Chambers leaves behind his wife, Jennifer, a son, Michael, Jr., and a daughter, Teshawan.  Arrangements are pending.
