Contract Negotiations Update

MAY 15, 2023 -- Your TWU Local 100 leaders have been engaged in contract negotiations with the MTA all day, and those talks will continue tomorrow, Tuesday, May 16. While the current agreement expires at midnight tonight, the terms will remain in effect until a new deal is reached and ratified.
We are working hard to secure the fairest deal possible.

Right now, there are several stumbling blocks. The MTA is showing a lack of respect for our members on issues big and small.  For example, MTA Chairman Janno Lieber is refusing to pick up the cost of healthcare coverage for the families of our fallen heroes who worked during the pandemic, contracted COVID-19, and died. The MTA also is resisting our demand to pay for therapy for the autistic children of our members. These are just two examples. We will provide more information in the days to come.
We fight on.

Thank you for your support,
TWU Local 100 President Richard Davis
