M15 Bus Crash on East 53rd Street Leaves Three Injured

Three people were hurt Wednesday afternoon when a taxi set off a chain-reaction collision on First Avenue, authorities and witnesses said. The accident unfolded just after noon at 53rd Street, after a taxi rear-ended a car, according to officials. The car then rear-ended a city bus, which was in the second lane of traffic because a truck was blocking the bus stop, according to MTA spokesman Kevin Ortiz.
