Source: RTT NewsBombardier Transportation, the rail equipment division of Canadian transport major Bombardier Inc. (BBD_A.TO: News ,BBD_B.TO: News ), announced that the Chicago Transit Authority or CTA has placed orders for 300 additional rapid transit cars. These orders are valued at about US$331 million bringing the total number of cars ordered by CTA to 706, and the total value of the contract to about US$1 billion.
