Arrest in Beating of Station Agent
Two women attacked Reid outside her booth at the New Lots station while she was at work. The Station Agent was shoved to the ground, punched and assaulted with a bunch of keys held by one of the assailants, suffering facial lacerations and bruises. She was on a restricted duty assignment at the time, recovering from brain surgery performed last year.
Stations Vice President Robert Kelley gave credit to the NYPD and to Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez. "I'm pleased to have a District Attorney working with us. He is recommending $25,000 cash bail, or $50,000 as a bail bond. He is delivering on his promise to prosecute those who assault transit workers to the fullest extent of the law. But this isn't over. The police are working tirelessly to apprehend the other suspect."
