Beloved Conductor Augustine Edwards Passes at 66; Services Set for Saturday

IB ImageConductor Augustine Edmonds has passed away at the age of 66, after a long battle with illness (non COVID), reports RTO VP Eric Loegel. VP Loegel notes that Brother Edmonds' father worked for NYCT, and that his daughter, Tanita Edmonds, is a Conductor as well, making three generations of transit workers.

Services will be held tomorrow, Saturday, October 2 at the Full Gospel Assembly at 131 Sullivan Place, in Brooklyn. All members are invited to attend.

Here is Brother Edmonds' obituary: Augustine Edmonds affectionately known as Skip or Easy was born December 31, 1954 and was a native of Brooklyn NY. He graduated from ENY Vocational HS. Worked several jobs thoughout his life: truck driver, United States Postal Service, and built his career at the NYC Transit Authority in the B Division, where he enjoyed working as a conductor like his Dad; a motorman; and for the past 17 years he worked as a hand switchman. "Easy" has 5 children, one who is also a conductor in the A Division and 7 grandchildren. Easy was an awesome down-to-earth person, spiritual, peaceful, easy-going. He leaves to mourn his family and a host of friends.
