Maintainer Irving Ward and his wife, Magnolia

Irving Ward, an HVAC maintainer with 8 years of service with NYCT, died on January 3 after a long illness. Brother Ward worked out of 140th Street HVAC and will be sorely missed. Brooklyn born, Brother Ward graduated from Alexander Hamilton Tech and went from there to Lincoln Tech. He had a passion for working on cars, so his career as an HVAC maintainer was a natural fit. MOW Vice President Richard Rocco sends his condolences to Brother Ward's wife, Magnolia Barnes-Ward, his children and his entire extended family. Ward had a passion for house music and you can hear his extensive mixtapes here.

A Celebration of His Life will take place on Monday, January 15th at 1PM at the Brown Memorial Baptist Church, at 484 Washington Avenue in Brooklyn, with a Heavenly Birthday Celebration Repass at the Wu Lou Loung at 1073 Atlantic Avenue on the same day. A Homegoing and burial will take place in Portsmouth, VA on January 20th at 12 PM at the Corpew Funeral Home at 1822 Portsmouth Boulevard in Portsmouth, VA 23704.
