Open Enrollment for Health Benefits Starts October 15

This year’s Open Enrollment period at TA/OA/MTA Bus will run from October 15 to November 26. (That’s for active members. Retirees will have an Open Enrollment period of their own.The Retirees Association is hosting an Info session for retirees on October 30.) During this period, members can review their health benefit options and make any changes they may feel necessary.

This year, for the first time, the MTA Business Service Center is handling the Open Enrollment. If you have forms to submit, you can bring them to the BSC Walk-In Center at 180 Livingston St, mail or fax them to the BSC, or scan them and email them to the BSC.

Members will receive two separate Open Enrollment mailings from the BSC and others from our health providers.

The first BSC mailing - already in the mail - includes a description of your options and forms you may need. It also includes a schedule of over 40 visits that BSC teams will be making to work locations, as well as information on Flexible Spending Accounts and other tax-advantaged programs.

A second mailing will include a personalized statement reflecting your current enrollment. As well, Empire and UHC will be mailing information to you directly.
