Quality Bus Mourns Driver Techelet Babin, 57, Killed in Tragic Accident

APRIL 5 -- It is with heavy hearts that members at Quality/Total Bus in Brooklyn are mourning the loss of Techelet Babin, 57. Brother Babin had 24 years with Quality Bus as a School Bus Driver. Throughout his tenure, he demonstrated profound dedication and love for his job. His commitment to the safety and the well-being of the children he transported was evident in every mile he drove.

Tragically, Techelet's life was cut short when he was struck by a vehicle on his way to work, leaving us all in shock and disbelief. In honor of his memory, we invite all Union members to join us for a vigil on Monday morning, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, at 400 Stanley Avenue in Brooklyn. It will be a time to come together, to share memories, and to pay tribute to a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many children and families with his kindness and dedication.

Techelet is survived by his children, who are currently processing this devastating loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time. Please keep his family, friends, and colleagues in your thoughts as we mourn the loss of our beloved member. May his memory be a blessing to us all.
