TWU Mourns Track Worker John McCarthy, 65

Brother John McCarthy, a proud union member with a history of activism, died last Wednesday in the hospital after complications from an operation. He was a former Division Vice Chair of Track Department, and a labor activist who was always on the front lines for labor and for the causes he believed in. He retired from Transit in 2014 but remained a committed union man to the end. His irrepressible spirit, willingness to walk the line, and warm smile will be missed by all who knew him.
