TWU's DaShawn Williams to Speak at National Action Network Labor Panel
TWU Local 100 Shop Steward DaShawn Williams, a member of the Political Action Team, will participate in a high-level labor panel sponsored by the Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network, where she is also the organization's Bronx Chapter President. The panel discussion, to be held on Friday, April 5th, at 2pm in the Empire Ballroom of the Sheraton New York at 7th Avenue and 53rd Street, is entitled, "Combating new Laws and the Future of Unions."
The panel will be moderated by Charlie King, CGK Partners and will include:
R. Thomas Buffenbarger, International President, The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW); Larry Cohen, President, Communications Workers of America (CWA), Mike Fishman, International Executive Vice President, Service Employees International Union (SEIU); George Gresham, President, 1199SEIU; Randi Weingarten, President, American Federation of Teachers, and DaShawn Williams.
