We Step Out for African American Day Parade

Local 100 on Parade in Harlem

Union members enjoyed a sun-splashed day on September 16th in Harlem, marching from 110th Street up to 137th Street along with other major New York City labor unions, politicians, and community groups. TWU Local 100 members made the theme of the march "get out the vote," urging everyone on the sidelines to exercise their franchise on November 6th and vote to re-elect President Obama. A spirited group of members enjoyed food before the parade, and danced to the sounds of DJ Omar, who is a TA Surface Bus Operator out of East New York Depot.
