Union Mourns Track Insp. Jimmy Giambalvo, 52

FEBRUARY 28 -- Members in Track are mourning the untimely passing of ERT Track Inspector James Giambalvo, who was killed when an SUV hit his bicycle on Staten Island. Track Chair Carlos Albert said: "Jimmy was a great man and union brother. Fearless of management, he helped the Union in the track inspector case, providing critical information to me a couple of years ago. I send my condolences to the Giambalvo family."

 

 

Secretary-Treasurer John V. Chiarello said he was heartbroken over the loss. President Davis and MOW Vice President Richard Rocco also expressed their deep condolences to the family.

There will be a viewing for Brother Giambalvo Wednesday, March 1 from 2 - 5 pm and from 7 - 9pm at the Scalia Funeral Home at 28 Eltingville Blvd. on Staten Island.

There will be a Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 2 at the same location with burial to follow at Ocean View Cemetery on Staten Island.
