Track work on the Astoria line is continuing, but weekday train diversions are nearly at an end. Subway ventilation work on 44th Drive will, upon completion, allow ventilation service to three tunnels. The E and F lines will be sharing the F track through the rest of September and October. The word is out that weekend service on the No. 7 line between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square will be suspended during October and November. Riders can look forward to more weekend bus substitutions for the idled trains.
