Assaulted Conductor Denaul Jenkins
Walter Rivera, the man charged with stabbing and seriously wounding Conductor Denaul Jenkins, is scheduled to be in court tomorrow as prosecutors move forward with their case against him. A presence by TWU Local 100 will show the judge and prosecutors that transit workers want justice for their injured union brother.
The case is currently before Judge Lorenzo (SCA Part). It is expected to be called in the morning but authorities do not provide exact times for such proceedings. The courthouse opens to the public at 9 a.m. and is located at 265 East 161stSt.
Jenkins was stabbed Easter Sunday while waiting for his train at the 149 St/Grand Concourse station East Sunday.
