Labor Supports the People's Climate March

JULY 30, 2014 -- TWU Local 100 Recording Secretary LaTonya Crisp-Sauray, representing the 38,000 members of the union, joined with other union leaders and environmentalists at Times Square to call for urgent action on climate change and announce our support for the September 21 People’s Climate March which will urge world leaders, meeting at the United Nations, to stop promising and start delivering on measures to fight climate change. TWU Local 100 calls on government leaders to increase funding for cleaner transportation alternatives, especially mass transit by rail and bus.
