TWU Mourns as Bus Helper Stephen Livecchi Dies at College Point Depot

TUESDAY, MARCH 27 -- A terrible tragedy occurred this morning at the College Point Depot in Queens. A bus being moved in the facility struck and fatally injured MTA Bus Helper Stephen Livecchi, 59. Stephen had 37 years on the job.

 

“This is a very sad time for all of us,” Local 100 President Tony Utano said. “As we are mourning the death of a young track worker, another member of our union has been killed in what appears to be a tragic accident. We will conduct a thorough investigation to determine what happened. We will close ranks around the family and do whatever we can for them.”
