Webinar Set for April 13 to Offer Guidance on World Trade Center Illness Care, Victim's Benefits
TWU Local 100, in partnership with Mt. Sinai and the 9/11 Victim's Compensation Fund, will offer a comprehensive webinar on WTC 9/11 benefits for those suffering illnesses from their service at Ground Zero. The webinar will take place on Tuesday, April 13th, at 6pm. You can register for the webinar here. Thousands of transit workers were directed to report to the World Trade Center disaster area just after the attack on America. Many suffer from debilitating illness from that time, and some have died. This webinar will answer questions as to who qualifies for benefits, how to prove presence at the site, and what the deadlines for applications are.
