Quill Scholarship Winners Include 8 From Local 100

JULY 13 -- The TWU International, the parent union of Local 100, has announced 32 winners of the Michael J. Quill Scholarship awards, named after our founder. The Quill scholarships are awarded yearly to college students who are sons and daughters of union members. Of the 32 winners, 8 come from TWU Local 100, the largest Local in the International.

The 8 Local 100 winners, who will be notified by mail, include the following $4,800 winners. Each recipient will receive $1,200 each year for each of their four years of college. They are: Victoria Allen, daughter of Ronald Allen; Peter Bouzi, son of Pierre Bouzi; Yanique N. Clarke, daughter of Clive Clark; and Veronica Lin, daughter of Gregory Lin. Winners of $2,500 one-year scholarships from Urban Benefit Planners include Jah-king A. King, son of James King; Antonella C. Lazcano, daughter of Joan Lazcano; and Mitchell G. Wiggan, son of Paige Wiggan. The winner of a $2,000 one-year scholarship from M3 Technology is Dylan A. Dunbar, son of Walter Dunbar.
