A Soulful African American Parade Celebration (2023)

Every step was a testament to the unity and strength of the African American community, and the atmosphere was electric! "The African American Day Parade is not just a celebration; it's a heartfelt expression of love for our people, our culture, and our community," beamed Richard Davis, TWU Local 100 President. "It's a time for us to come together, to showcase our heritage, and to stand proudly as a united front, because when we celebrate our culture, we celebrate the beauty of our people." The motorcade members, waving and smiling from their decorated vehicles, kept the energy at an all-time high. Spectators along the parade route joined in the celebration, dancing and clapping to the infectious beats. Strangers became friends, and the sense of belonging was overwhelming.
